How Ubuntu Was Made From Debian? I want to make my own Linux distro and currently Use Ubuntu. I was going to use LFS (Linux From Scratch) but than thought about Debian. I know that Ubuntu is based on Debian so I guess they just got Debian and changed the source files, am I right?

This might prove useful. Or at least you should start there, to pick up some info about it, if you really want to build your own distribution. This is also interesting, you might wanna read that too.
