I updated (zypper dup) my Leap 42.1 yesterday night, I got a huge update (1000 packages - 1.2 GB), I guess it's the perfectly on time Gold Master milestone...
Furthermore this early morning - I'm in CET zone - I see online the Packman repos for Leap 42.1.
To both teams members, devs and contributors: great great great job, thank you everyone!!
Like some other animals, the gecko can perform a neat trick when threatened by a predator: it can amputate its own tail. The dropped tail serves to distract the predator, and by losing it, the lizard can run faster.
Citiram zdnet:
The reason for the name/number change, and the extra attention that this release is getting, is that they are making a philosophical change in their development and release strategy.
Pa i novo ime ima smisla u tom kontekstu; "leap" (između ostalog) znači "skok" - vidite da su preskočili puno brojeva A negdje sam pročitala i da su izabrali baš broj 42 zbog asocijacije na Douglasa Adamsa (answer to the ultimate question of life, the universe, and everything = 42), ali ne znam koliko je to točno, tj. je li samo neka zezancija.

"Charlie. What are you thinking?"
"I'm thinking about what I want and what I need."
"What do you want?"
"I want a peaceful soul."
"And what do you need?"
"I need a bigger gun."
