Ubuntu organizira online summit (UOS) kao otvorenu raspravu o nadolazećim promjenama u 15.10 i smjeru razvoja. Svi su pozvani, a izlaganja su ograničena na 5-10 min. Konferencija će se održati između 5. i 7. svibnja.

The first stable version of ‘Snappy’ Ubuntu Core is now available as part of 15.04.

This release supports 64-bit Intel-based architectures, as well as ARM HF, providing a crisp common platform for device development that support a very wide range of production hardware.

Ubuntu 15.04 is the base for the Ubuntu Phone currently shipping on the BQ Aquaris E4.5 and in due course on the Meizu MX4. The latest 15.04 updates will be delivered OTA (over-the-air) in coming weeks meeting Canonical’s commitment to the mobile as an extension of Ubuntu on the desktop and cloud: a secure platform that is always up-to-date.

Nitko ne trza. Prije je ovaj podforum brujao tjednima prije, a sad se nitko ni ne javlja. Ako želiš, slobodno složi kratku vijest za objavu. Čini se da si ti jedini koji aktivno pravit događanja oko Canonicala i Ubuntua

A istovremeno ne nedostaje drugih korisnika koji koriste Ubuntu Ako se nitko ne javi vidjeti ću da napravim neku kratku vijest o tome što novo donosi Ubuntu 15.04.

While much of the media attention as of late when it comes to Ubuntu Linux has been about their mobile endeavors, they are continuing to innovate on other fronts as well and with this week's release of Ubuntu 15.04 is the initial work on LXD for those interested in containers.

Back in November was when it was made public about Canonical working on LXD as a new Linux hypervisor derived from LXC. With the Ubuntu 15.04 debut, LXD 0.7 is ready to enter the spotlight. Canonical's Stephane Graber blogged today about the initial LXD experience on Ubuntu 15.04 Vivid Vervet.

Compared to LXC, LXD makes the environment secure by default, completely reworks the tools to make them simpler and less confusing, relies on container images rather than using templates, and provides full checkpoint/restore support.

Mislim (ustvari znam) da sam u temi o Freyi napisao da ću odraditi recenziju 15.04.. no nije problem večeras pripremiti dva-tri reda najave o izlasku nove verzije.. problem je kaj skoro da u 15.04 i nema korisnicima vidljivih promjena jer je većina stvari napravljena "ispod haube" i ono kaj se u članku može spomenuti je prelazak na systemd i mogućnost da korisnik kroz dconf alat uključi stalno vidljive postavke menua u top baru..

Ako netko ima još kakvu korisnu informaciju koju nisam vidio na beti, neka napiše pa ću sve uklopiti u članak
