The next major version of openSUSE Leap after 42 will be openSUSE Leap 15. This aligns openSUSE version numbers with SLE, which will also use 15 for the next major release. Minor releases of openSUSE Leap are expected annually for at least 3 years. The first version of openSUSE Leap 15 will be openSUSE Leap 15.0.
There are currently no plans to release an openSUSE Leap 42.4 aligned with the next service pack of SLE 12.
